Data inside SugarOS
A sugar mill or other organisation using SugarOS decides what personal data it enters and why. That organisation is the Data Fiduciary for this data, and we process it on its behalf under our agreement. If you are a farmer, employee or shareholder of a mill, please send your requests to that mill first.
Who we share data with
We share data only when needed, with:
- Service providers who help us run our website, hosting, messaging and support
- Your organisation, for the records it controls
- Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it
Your data may be processed outside India only where the law allows it.
Third-party services
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. When you message us on WhatsApp or follow our Instagram link, their own privacy policies apply. This website does not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. We then delete it or make it anonymous. Your organisation sets how long it keeps its records in SugarOS, subject to the law.
How we protect data
We use reasonable security safeguards, including access controls, sign-in protection, audit records and encryption of sensitive fields. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected people as the law requires.
